About Us Looking for a fishing trip? Leave the beaches of Cancun for a few hours and start an awesome adventure that you won’t forget with Golu Fishing Charters. You’ll spend the day on board with Captain Mario Gómez who offers fishing trips every day, incredible knowledge of the area and fish in the sea for every type of angler. You will be fishing on a 27ft Center Console Panga Boat, recently refurbished in 2023. The boat is powered by 140hp 4-stroke, so you’ll reach all your fishing spots in no time. You can create your own fabulous fishing day. If you are just a beginner, fishing with your family or simply don’t have the whole day available, take one of the Lagoon Trips or go for Inshore Fishing Barracuda´s ( in this trip you can choose fishing and having fun on the beautiful waters of Playa Norte Beach at Isla Mujeres ) For more experienced anglers or those who want extra hours of fishing, an offshore trip is a perfect choice for them, Jigging, trolling, bottom fishing, depending of the Fishing Trip you choose, you can go from Targeting Sailfish, Marlin, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Amberjack, Grouper, Snapper, Jack Crevalle and More. The Captain will take care of all fishing equipment you’ll need ( you are welcome to bring along your own equipment ) He’ll also clean the catch free of charge once the trip is over. Golu Fishing Charters will also supply water, soda, and ice for the day ( you are welcome to bring your own snacks and favorite drinks )
NICHUPTE LAGOON
Located on the east coast of Cancun, with an area of over 3,000 hectares. Nichupte Lagoon is one of the best examples of natural paradise, as it represents a large area of natural reserve for the mangrove ecosystem in which dwells in different animal species.
Laguna Nichupte has seven lakes, among which the Laguna del Amor, Laguna Bojorquez, San Jose and Laguna Laguna Ciega.
It also communicates with the Caribbean Sea through two channels: the Siegfried and Nizuc. The view from there is amazing, so it's an ideal place to enjoy the Caribbean sunset or get to know the different types of flora and fauna that live in the jungle and you can also visit a stunning coral reef.

CPT Mario was most excellent. Amazing day!!! Was very punctual, very informative, and knowledgeable about good fishing spots. Would definitely recommend. Awesome private tour.

The only negative was the weather. We knew this going into the full day trip however. We have no problem recommending this charter. Mario and Sam are hard working fishermen. I am a very experienced angler and these two worked their butts off to put us on fish on and rainy and windy day. We started by catching Barracuda right at the start. The water was so choppy that it really held us up with some of the bigger bite. We worked hard jigging and had some great bites, but again the weather was just too much here. They changed gears to get us on a different path and we caught Tuna and ended the day catching Spanish Mackerel. Mario even picked us up and dropped us off at our resort as it was on his way to and from the Marina. Sensational service from these two. Don’t let their lower price detour you from booking them. You get the service and experience of the more expensive charters.

We booked with Mario and it was hands down the easiest and best thing we did! We had an absolute blast out on the boat! Mario knows his stuff & where to find the fish. We will definitely book again when we make our way back to cancun!

Mario is a very knowledgeable and talented guy . Definitely recommend booking with him as i have and it was a amazing time on the boat and Mario will get you to where the bite is at 🐟. Whenever i visit Cancun again i definitely 100% will be charting with him again .

During my last trip to cancun I got the opportunity to do this trip, captain Mario was fantastic, he got all the tricks and the right fishing spots in the area with amazing views as well. Highly recommended!
